The Iota Kappa Alumni Chapter of Sigma Nu Foundation holds itself to eight core values within three major areas: building relationships, demonstrating excellence, and making an impact.
Principles
United by our principles, The Iota Kappa Alumni Chapter of Sigma Nu Foundation is dedicated to promoting the cardinal principles of its National fraternal organization:
Love – It is expressed by kindness and consideration, by a willingness to give and take, to adjust, to talk things out with open frankness, yet to be spared of sarcasm, cynicism, and stinging criticism.
Truth – Fraternity is so basic that it must be fixed on a solid foundation and cannot safely be subjected to pretense or to deceit.
Honor – The Honor Code is a belief in personal integrity as the fundamental attribute of character.
Supported Charities
Community – Work with the community of Chico to plan and participate in philanthropy projects critical to its well-being.
University – Work with California State University, Chico and establish a strong connection through volunteerism and academic excellence.
Sigma Nu Educational Foundation – Work with our National organization and support its foundation through monetary donations.
